Mission Statement

To be a positive resource in the Wichita Community, assisting in the redevelopment of self-dependency and the recapture of true values of famiy life, by providing a building foundation for academic achievement, by teaching children Godly principles which will build wisdom, and knowledge that instills integrity and builds character.

History of Academy

New Zion Christian Academy, founded by Pastor & Mrs. Calvin Williams, began with a vision by God. The Agape Daycare Center was the beginning of this vision. It was established to enable single mothers to achieve self-dependency without the aid of welfare or the worry of high child care costs. Agape Daycare encourages mothers to live productive lives.

When our Pre-K enrolees graduated from our Pre-school program, they were on an academic and discipline level our government schools applauded. However, our parents began to notice that the challenges their children faced at Agape were not being presented to them at public schools. Godly principles were not emphasized; for many Agape graduates the curriculum offered in kindergarten had already been mastered in pre-school at Agape.

Therefore, when we endeavored to open the academy, we set out to obtain the best Christian curriculum available -- one with a proven success rate of achievement for academic excellence. Also, parents were concerned with their child's academic levels, and through our testing that we administer, we are able to assess each child individually, and prescribe a curriculum that will allow them to work at their individual levels.

Pastor Williams and I strongly believe that every child can learn, and that the words of Solomon are true: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." And that the first place a child learns is in the home!

Please be assured of our desire to serve you.

Yours for Quality Education,

Pastor Calvin Williams, Sr.
