Berean is blessed with classroom buildings that meet state lighting and ventilation specifications. The plant includes a fine library, an art lab, two science labs, a home economics lab, a music building, a gymnasium, two computer labs, a shop building, a chapel, a kitchen, a cafeteria, and eighteen classrooms.

Athletics

Berean offers competitive sports in varsity basketball, crosscountry, soccer, track, and volleyball. As a member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association, the Heart of America League, and the Central Kansas Track League, the Academy has a competitive reputation among area Christian and public schools.

History

Berean was founded by several Mennonite families, but it was organized independently of any particular church. Berean's original bylaws included a couple of items that were distinctively Mennonite but revised bylaws were adopted in the 1960s which removed those sectarian views. Today, Berean's bylaws establish the school as independent and interdenominational. The current student body represents about thirty churches from several evangelical denominations.
